Chief Barker, my family and I have lived in Holly Hill for 57-years and it is a blessing to know that our Police Department has professionals who really care about the people who live in this town. Today I want to thank you and your team of officers for taking your time and looking further than one side of a story. I would like you to know that Investigator Melton is
a very strong asset to your team, and to all the citizens of Holly Hill.

Description of Work: Replacement of existing stormwater systems which convey runoff from Newcastle Court, Kingsport Court, and Royal Oak Court in the Glenmeadows Subdivision to an existing stormwater pond west of the subdivision. The construction will occur in close proximity to existing residential homes and will therefore require contractors to use caution during construction.

Pollution Prevention Seminar

The Community Resource Center is proud to host an informational seminar on Pollution Prevention. This seminar will cover the impacts of storm water discharge on local water bodies and share ideas which the public can use to help reduce pollution.

This event will be held at 3:00 on Wednesday, February 8 at the Community Resource Center. The seminar is absolutely free, but there may be limited seating. Please call the Resource Center at 248-9453 to reserve a seat.

The City of Holly Hill, Florida and the National League of Cities Bring Free Prescription Discount Card Program to Residents

Discount card offers average savings to residents of 23 percent

On January 24, 2012, the City of Holly Hill launched a program to help provide residents with relief from the high cost of prescription medications. Through the program — sponsored by the National League of Cities (NLC) — the City is making free prescription discount cards available to city residents. The discount cards offer city residents an average of 23 percent savings off the retail price of prescription medications.

The NLC Prescription Discount Card can be used by all residents of Holly Hill and has no restrictions based on a resident’s age, income level, or existing health coverage. The card can be used at approximately 54 pharmacies around the city, as well as at more than 60,000 participating retail pharmacies across the country.

Given the current economic climate, where many people are without medical insurance or on a fixed income, we are happy to partner with the National League of Cities in order to make this prescription discount card available to our residents. This card helps residents who are uninsured, as well as residents who have insurance, but have specific medications that are not covered by their insurance. In both scenarios, residents experience significant savings on prescription medications not covered by health plans.

Residents can obtain a free NLC Prescription Discount Card in a number of ways. They can print them from the Internet at www.caremark.com/nlc or they can get a card at City Hall or the Resource Center. Residents can also use www.caremark.com/nlc to locate the nearest participating pharmacy or call toll-free at 1.888.620.1749 for assistance with the program.

By offering a health-focused program that provides significant cost savings and is easy to use, we are targeting an important need among our residents. We hope that the Prescription Discount Card program brings to residents welcome relief from the high cost of prescriptions.

TRAFFIC & RESIDENT ADVISORY from South of 10th Street to North of Mason Ave, and East of the RR Track to West of Riverside Drive.

The City of Holly Hill Department of Public Works is working with Lanzo Lining Services, Inc. performing cleaning and pre-TV inspection of existing gravity sewer pipes throughout various locations within the limits described above. The contractor will be working within the City right-of-way from manhole to manhole. There may be minimal inconvenience to the residents in the area. Smoke testing of sewers may produce smoke at manhole & cleanouts. If smoke is observed from a plumbing fixture, do not call fire department. Call the number listed below.

caring and an outgoing person. He is just a great guy all around. He goes
above and beyond the call of duty. I wish we had more law enforcement
