Streets and Drainage
The Streets & Drainage Division is responsible for maintaining all streets, right-of-ways, and drainage facilities throughout the City. The division’s primary functions include:
- Maintenance of streets including the resurfacing of deteriorated streets and maintenance of potholes.
- Maintenance of all catch basins, storm pipes, and maintenance of drainage ditches owned and operated by the City.
- Repair and maintenance of directional and informational street signs.
- Maintenance of street markings including lines, crosswalks, stop bars, and directional markings.
- Street sweeping to keep roadways clean and drainage system clean & clear of trash and other pollutants.
- Trimming and maintenance of trees and vegetation that block the passage and line-of-sight on the City’s roadways and sidewalks.
- Maintenance and construction of sidewalks.
