Welcome to the City of Holly Hill Election Information. This information is intended to familiarize City Commission Candidates, Campaign Treasurers, and residents with the duties and responsibilities required under Florida’s Election Laws, and the City of Holly Hill’s City Charter.  All requirements prescribed by State Statute, and included in this material, are subject to change by the Florida Legislature.

REGISTERING TO VOTE
For information on registering to vote, visit the Volusia County Supervisor of Elections voter registration page at www.volusiaelections.org.  You may also check your voter status online by visiting the elections website.  Voter Registration Applications are available online, at City Hall, post offices or libraries, and must be returned to the Volusia County Department of Elections.

ABSENTEE BALLOTS
Absentee ballots may be obtained by calling the Volusia County Supervisor of Elections at (386) 254-4690 or by completing their online form.  You may also check your absentee status online by visiting the elections website.

2018 Election Dates to Remember 

The City of Holly Hill’s General Election will be held on TUESDAY, AUGUST 28, 2018 and the Run-Off Election (if needed) will be held on TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 6, 2018.

2018 Voter Registration / Bookclosing Deadline

Eligible individuals can register to vote at any time.  The deadline to register in order to participate in an upcoming election is 29 days before the election.  The registration deadlines for the 2018 City of Holly Hill’s Municipal Election are:

  • Primary Election (COHH GENERAL ELECTION):   July 30, 2018

  • General Election (COHH RUN-OFF ELECTION):   October 9, 2018

2018 Early Voting Period 

The early voting period consists of a minimum mandatory period of 8 days.  The mandatory early voting periods for 2018 are:

  • Primary Election (COHH GENERAL ELECTION):   August 18 – August 25, 2018

  • General Election (COHH RUN-OFF ELECTION):   October 27 – November 3, 2018

In addition, each county Supervisor of Elections may offer optional days of early voting in addition to the mandatory early voting period.  Each Supervisor of Elections may choose from one or more of the following days for 2018:

  • Primary Election (COHH GENERAL ELECTION):  August 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, and/or August 26, 2018

  • General Election (COHH RUN-OFF ELECTION):  October 22, 23, 24, 25, 26 and/or November 4, 2018

Check with our local Volusia County Supervisor of Elections department www.volusiaelections.org for the additional days of early voting that may be offered.
