The Building and Zoning Department issues permit, and business tax receipts, and performs building inspections.
Building
Responsible for regulating all construction activity within the City of Holly Hill, ensuring compliance with the Florida Building Codes, enforcement of the land use and development regulations, processing and issuing Building permits, verifying Contractor competency and licensing requirements, performing associated plan reviews, inspections and issuing a Certificate of Occupancy.

Zoning
Process, investigate and enforce zoning violation complaints. Process all rezoning,variance,special exception and ordinance amendment requests, prepare associated applications and supporting documents for the Board of Planning and Appeals, forward board actions to the City Commission and provide staff analysis and recommendations. Provide zoning information map designations and technical assistance to citizens and professionals. Implement and enforce various County, State and Federal regulations.
Business Tax Receipts
Process and issue all Business Tax Receipts, ensure applicants comply with City, County, State and Federal regulations pertaining to their specific business. Each business is inspected for building safety and compliance with Building and Fire codes.
