Code Enforcement

Overview

Code Enforcement is an important focus of the City of Holly Hill. The Holly Hill Code Enforcement officers enforce a broad range of land use-related ordinances to ensure a healthy and safe environment is maintained for the residents, businesses, and visitors of Holly Hill. Code Enforcement Services are provided in response to complaints, however, work efforts also include proactive enforcement programs and educational components designed to promote compliance with adopted regulations.

When necessary, enforcement may be achieved through either the Civil Citations or through actions by the Code Enforcement, Special Master. The Special Master has the authority to levy fines on a per-day basis until compliance is met. However, the City strives to reach compliance with property owners voluntarily resolving code violations.

If you have concerns in your neighborhood, or would like to speak with a Code Enforcement officer regarding a violation or compliance issue, please call (386) 248-9431 or by e-mail at codeenforcement [at] hollyhillfl.org. You may also file a complaint on-line by going to the city’s website and clicking on the Report a Concern link and completing the form

Please note that the city does allow anonymous complaints and inquiries only if there is an imminent threat to public health, safety or welfare, imminent destruction of habitat or sensitive resources.  Complaints must include your name, address and phone number.  Understand that should you leave your name and phone number, that information then becomes part of the public record and is subject to disclosure upon request.  If you wish to remain anonymous, only leave the full street address where the concern exists and the nature of the concern you wish to have investigated.  The staff will normally respond to your inquiry within two business days from receipt of the call.  You may contact the complaint line to ask if any action has been taken with regard to your inquiry.
