Robert W. Orrell was a sportsman and aviator who used to reside in Holly Hill. He owned a seaplane hanger on the west short of the Halifax River in Holly Hill which included a landing facility for his seaplane.
This facility was strictly private. The plane was hauled into the hanger on a marine railway. A ramp also was built for refueling.
