Business Tax Receipts

Process and issue all Business Tax Receipts, ensure applicants comply with City, County, State and Federal regulations pertaining to their specific business. Each business is inspected for building safety and compliance with Building and Fire codes.

Per City Code, a business within the City is required to obtain a Business Tax Receipt prior to opening, including, long-term rentals.  Commercial business locations as well as short-term rentals (AirBnbs) are required to pass a business fire inspection once your Business Tax Receipt is approved and paid for. The city fire marshal will be in contact with you regarding this through the phone number provided to us on your application.
