2024 CRA PLAN UPDATE PROCESS

The City of Holly Hill is updating its 2007 Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) Plan. The Plan update will focus on identifying new projects and programs, and evaluating the potential extension of the CRA’s operational timeframe.

The Community Redevelopment Area:

The Holly Hill CRA District is located along Ridgewood Avenue (US-1) and LPGA Boulevard on the primary commercial corridors in the City of Holly Hill, Florida. The Community Redevelopment District was established in 1996 to reduce or eliminate conditions of slum and blight, improve the tax base and encourage public and private investment.

We invited citizens, business owners, workforce and economic development professionals, and others connected to Holly Hill to what we called “Stakeholder” interviews which helped establish a baseline of information for our Public Workshops. Those attending included: Robin Hanger, Tony Cassata, Lynea Benjamin, Denise Marquez-Kenny, Heidi Heller, Katie Hammond, Jeff Lobo, Karla LaRosa, Dave Knopf, Gary Secor, Heidi Daniels, Pryce Hood, Daniel Smith, Ryan McCormick, Trish McGetrick, Dennis Smith, Joe McDaniel, Polly Cappuccio, Amanda Weston, Natasha Azari, Carmen Ruiz, Jim Wachtel, Deb Christenson, Peg Collier, Karen Eastman, Bonnie Beck, Dan Beck, Gus Makris, Kim Lawson, Yolonda Parra, Laura DePass, Mike Myer, Bill Fletcher and Keith Norden. Commissioners Currie, Penny and Danio as well as Mayor Via were interviewed separately during the Stakeholder sessions. Our City Manager and all of our Commissioners attended our Public Workshops.

Our first Public Workshop on April 9th was attended by nearly forty people and the second Public Workshop on April 16th was attended by nearly forty people as well. More than 100 people have taken our community survey.

Our CRA Plan website https://www.arcg.is/vLXr51 contains information about the project as well as the Community Survey. Additionally there is an interactive “Pin Drop” map exercise in which you can place a location pin on the map and then comment. You are invited to engage with us in this endeavor by reading the information, taking the survey and completing the Pin Drop exercise. The website should remain active for your input through July.
