The 7th Street Neighborhood Park is located at the corner of 7th Street and Center Avenue. The park site was purchased by the City in 2002 as part of a program to provide stormwater management facilities. Subsequently a retention pond was developed on the parcel and a fountain was placed in the pond to provide some aesthetic benefit and to help maintain water quality.
The park's focus is on recreation activities for individuals and families from the nearby residential neighborhoods. A 6-foot wide walking path extends from Center Avenue at the southwest corner of the park and loops around the lake. There is also children's play equipment (ages 2 to 12) and picnic tables with benches to provide a broader range of family based activities.
