Sunrise Park North is on a site that was proposed to become a housing development in the late 1980's. To preserve this land for recreational use, the City obtained a FRDAP grant to purchase the property and develop the park.
There is a 1.5 mile walking path around the park, and in hopes of having a healthier Holly Hill, the city built an outdoor fitness court in 2019. Other recent improvements include the replacement of the fishing pier and the replacement of the pedestrian bridge that connects Sunrise Parks North and South. Sunrise Park North also features a brand new large playground, restroom facilities and a pavilion over the water.
Sunrise Park offers a Large pavilion and 2 smaller pavilions for rent. The large pavilion allows for 50 people, while the smaller pavilions allow up to 25 people each.
We are currently doing more renovations to the park, please see attachment below for closure tasks and dates.
