Sunrise Park South is a 1.35 acre facility located on the Halifax River (Intracoastal Waterway). It currently supports an existing boat ramp, car and trailer parking, and picnic pavilions.

Sunrise Park South is on a piece of land that juts out into the Halifax River and was used by Bill McCoy as a landing back in his rum runner days. McCoy came to be known as “The Real McCoy.”  Visit our HISTORY section for more information on Bill.

The park is accessible to boaters, pedestrians and bicyclists and is visited by both residents and tourists.

Sunrise Park South Improvements were completed in 2020 and included the dredging of the channel, a new boat ramp, a new kayak launch, new pavilions, updated parking and updated lighting. The City of Holly Hill is grateful for financial assistance provided by Volusia County ECHO and the Florida Inland Navigation District.
